Privacy policy
CareMate Monitor is designed to collect only the information needed to provide reminders, records, and caregiver visibility.
Information CareMate Monitor stores
CareMate Monitor stores account details, preferred display and accessibility settings, care-circle memberships, user-entered medication label information, routine schedules, confirmations, user-entered vital readings and notes, caregiver visit notes and visibility choices, alert preferences, registered app-installation information, push-notification tokens, and—when a user enables SMS alerts—a mobile number, consent timestamp, verification status, and delivery records. Verification codes are stored only as short-lived cryptographic hashes.
How information is used
Information is used to authenticate accounts, show schedules, record confirmations, vital readings and caregiver observations, create and deliver generic reminder events, connect invited caregivers, protect the service, and provide support. CareMate Monitor does not sell personal information or use medication or vital records for advertising.
SMS messaging
Users may opt in to automated CareMate Monitor verification codes, medication and appointment reminders, missed-schedule notifications, and care-coordination alerts from the Alerts screen. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Consent to SMS is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties for purposes unrelated to providing the SMS program. Mobile numbers and consent status may be processed by providers that help deliver the requested messaging service, including messaging platforms and telecommunications carriers.
Service providers
CareMate Monitor uses Vercel for application hosting, Neon for authentication and database services, Resend to deliver transactional caregiver invitation emails, Telnyx to send SMS messages, and Expo Push Service to relay generic notifications to Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging. Telnyx processes the destination mobile number and message content needed to deliver an SMS. Invitation emails, push notifications, and SMS alerts use generic coordination language and do not include medication names or vital readings. These providers process information only to operate the application.
Sharing and caregiver access
Only authenticated members of an invited care circle can access its shared records, including user-entered vital readings. Invited caregivers can add, edit, and remove reminders for that care recipient. A vital reading or visit note can be edited or deleted by its author, while administrators may manage care-circle records. Caregiver visit notes are visible to caregivers in the selected care circle; a note is visible to the recipient only when its author marks it as shared. Medication instructions must be copied from a pharmacy label or clinician, and CareMate Monitor does not recommend changes. CareMate Monitor may disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect the service and its users.
Retention and deletion
Records remain while an account and care circle are active. Authors can delete their vital readings and visit notes. A user can permanently delete their account from Account & data settings. Deleting a recipient account removes its care circle and related records; deleting a caregiver account removes that caregiver’s membership, profile, and authored records.
Security
CareMate Monitor uses encrypted network transport, server-side authorization, expiring invitations, hashed native-session tokens, generic notification copy, and scoped database access. No system can guarantee absolute security, so real medication or vital information should not be entered until the product’s formal privacy and security review is complete.
Children
CareMate Monitor is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.
